'Landscape, Change, John Clare and Me'

Landscape painter, printmaker and 'Tweet of the Day' illustrator, Carry Akroyd,vividly relates her interest in the 19th century rural poet John Clare and shows illustrtaed by her own colourful work how he has inspired her. Carry is well-known for her understanding of his work and will read some of Clare's poems. She has illustrated many collections of his poetry including 'The Wood is Sweet' and Happy Spirit'  and produces a 'Shepherd's Calendar' published by the John Clare Society. She is passionately interested in lanscape change and how it effects flora and fauna. You will find this talk fascinating!
